Halloween 2006
Have you ever played the Mummy Game???? It is a traditional part of our Halloween party as you can see!
In each of the above photos is one of my children can you spot them?! It can be tricky when they are all dressed up. We always do something for Halloween and usually end up hosting a party for the children and their friends followed by trick or treating. I was discouraged from celebrating Halloween growing up so it makes me a little bit OTT about it now as a grown up, decorating the house inside and out!
Today's brief tale (mostly told in pictures!) was brought to you as part of Sian's story telling Sunday please visit her blog here to read more.
Looks like you have a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun game!
ReplyDeleteI`ve not played that game, but it sure seems like you all had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to play that with my daughter this year! Great photos! X
ReplyDeleteWe have played the Mummy Game at Christmas parties here. No, I've no idea why it got going at Christmas either..
ReplyDeleteI love this collection of pictures. Costumes through the ages, you could call it and what a lot of fun has obviously been had by all over the years!
What great parties you have for the children (and you!). I love the photographs and I bet your children do too. It's a fun time.
ReplyDeletelol! Clearly a popular choice with your family :) I played this with a group of young people we'd done a holiday club with, shortly after The Boy was born. Our team won, because our 'Mummy' had a baby!! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy story this month included the Mummy game! You have some really great pictures there.
ReplyDeleteThis has brought a smile to my face! and I am so glad that you have been able to shed the restrictive bonds and create and enjoy. :)
ReplyDeletehehe these photos made me smile...i have many similar ones. In fact it was the pumpkin outfit that really made me laugh - we have one and all of mine have worn it x
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I've played it - crepe bandages, crepe paper rolls or toilet paper - all are fun. I too love to decorate and set things up, it has been odd the last couple of years not to do anything or not much.
ReplyDeleteI remember playing the mummy game as a kid - in fact I'm pretty sure I have a photo like that as a teen! Great memories.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection of photos from down the years. Lovely memories to look back on :o)
ReplyDeleteNever played it, but I have played "toilet paper bride" at bridal showers and loved that one.
