advent day 15

thanks again to my advent swop buddies for my wonderful pressies these are todays goodies

Another pair of bright waccy piggy socks from Choccie and K covered a mini address book and a post it holder in matching paper. So, fun and useful presents for me today!

where is the time going??

Wow the days are whooshing past and I still have several things to do for Christmas! But I am enjoying spending time with the kids, watching Christmas films, making paper chains and wrapping presents.

For me it really is the little things that all add up to make a great big Fab Christmas! What do you think of my paint splattered boy (apparently he wore an apron whilst doing the actual painting but took it off to clear up and was literally covered in blue paint from head to toe!) with his paper chains! They are now hanging in his bedroom added to his little tree and battery operated tea lights!

Advent day 14 late again!

Another fabulous advent day swop this really has been one of the best Christmas things I have done for ages as it has been such good fun! Not sure if i will ever enjoy it as much again as this was the first one I have ever done and I might run out of ideas for next time!

For the 14th swop I got the cutest Tic Tac holder labelled as 'Fluffy's snowman spares' from the creative Oonie and an amazing 'slice of soap' which I have just found out is loofah soap from the multi talented K! i have not managed to be anywhere near as crafty and creative as my 2 swopees but they are probably grateful as much of my handmade stuff is a bit embarrassing!

Thanks xxx

advent day 13

Today we are going up to London to have a Christmas Meal in China Town with 3 other families. We have done this before and it's great fun, usually combined with a sightseeing activity, though this year Els is playing footie so we have nothing booked. Hopefully we will have time to go and look at some of the lights and window displays as I really loved seeing the magic come to life when I was little!
Today in the advent swop I had the cutest ever piggy socks (from Choccie who is bringing a smile to my face regularly which is a great antidote to the tiredness and madness!) and Sylph gave me some beautiful 3D lillies which I am already planning cards for.

Ta again xxx

advent day 12 late!

Well December 12th we did a few more decorations and finsihed the Christmas cards finally (still got a few handmade ones to make/send!)

In the advent swop I got the funniest Shower cap from Choccie with Minnie mouse on it and from Sylphraven I got a decorated journal with a bunch of journal prompts.

advent day 11

Today I was a bit more awake tho I did have a nap earlier this evening! Work has been busy and there is so much I want to do still for Christmas. Just found out that hubby will be off all next week and after that so I will have an extra pair of hands around to help which will be great! So today there were 2 beers for hubby's advent collection, 2 presents from the Elf for the children and I remembered the memory card for the camera and I am blogging!
this is a home made cork board decorted with pig stickers (courtesy of K) and a fabby bath bomb from Choccie. I obviously need to use more toiletries as have been given a few over the last couple of days! TQ xxx

advent day 10 forgotten!

So sorry I had a bad day yesterday! I forgot to give Andrew his advent beer, the Elf forgot to bring presents, I forgot to put the memory card in the camera, I forgot to blog ..... I went to bed at 9pm!

Here are my wonderful advent swops taken after I realised that the first photo's were taken without the memory card

The 'snowman' is made of 2 fab smelling bath bombs handmade again by Sylph and then Choccie has given me sweet smelling blackberry body moisturiser yummy! TQ xxx
