Avent Day 4

We have decided our Elf is getting a wee bit lazy as today he brought some paperchains so he is not getting us to do any hard activities with him!! The kids have not made any up yet and have been chilling after school though DD is at her scouts Christmas party! Will post a pic as/when they form part of the Festive decorations!
In the advent swop today I was again given some wonderful presents ...
.
home made Menthol Bath salts from the very inventive Slyph ()which smell invigorating! Plus the most fab notepad in shades of brown (my fav colour) and with an attached pen from Chocster.

Thanks you again and I am sooo enjoying this advent more than any others I can remember!!

Stash swop

I received a fabby stash swop today from Dawnteabag and I am embarrassed to say I have not yet sent hers. I am falling behind with all my crafty 'to do' lists but hope to catch up and send all the cards and swops I owe very soon.

Thanks for your patience swop partners and crafty friends and thank you for all the goodies I have received so far (must take a pic of the wonderful ATC I got last week) xxx

Advent day 3

Today the Elf put mini trees up in the childrens bedrooms, so it is beginning to look more festive chez Furrypig.
On the advent present front I have had edible goodies today which I look forward to sampling

The square jar contains 'Magic snow' which apparently is a lot like hot cookie dough (yum yum!) and the snowflake decoarated tin contains mints which Molly has started pinching already.

TQ xxx

Advent day 2

Elfie brought the children a large pack of santa and snowman stickers. Not sure they were a huge success as they are still in their packets with the Elf! Hopefully the remaining Advent gifts he brings will go down better!

My 2 advent swop pressies today were a cute flower punch and some scrapbook papers etc. The K & Co embellished vellum are gorgeous. TQ xxx

Advent swop 1

Way back in the summer Choccy, Sylphraven and I decided to do an advent swop. We are all Christmas nutters and had met online on MSE and become friends and comrades in celebrating both Christmas and crafts (especially card making). We met up at the NEC in November and exchanged presents. It had been great fun collecting 24 gifts for them from many different places and I look forward to finding out what they think of them all. I have only looked at my presents for the first time today and it is soo exciting!
So today was the first day of Advent and therefore the first present and this was mine from Choccy. Really useful and she obviously knows I need some organising!Sylph's first present already has pride of place on my kitchen door and I can only guess that it took ages as there are so many extra little details that my photo' sadly does not show.

Thanks so much and I am really excited about opening something everyday from you xxx

The Arrival of Advent

Yipeee! Today is December 1st and the start of advent. In our house this means the arrival of the elf (known as 'Elfie' very original I know!) from the North Pole. Everyday he brings something for the children/family for Advent. Today it was the chocolate advent calendars the other 23 days will include crafts, treats, activites and outings (if last year is anything to go by!) I will attempt to take pics of what he brings or what we do to try and keep festive and blog more as I am a blog failure (how long is it since I posted about anything crafty I have actually made!!)?
